Hey all

Been in business for about a month. Very new to the pro painting game and obviousoy very nervous and excited! The last 4 years of my life when I havent been deployed was spent manging a Line -X franchise and I decided I wantedvto go into business for myself.

Welcome HG,

What aspect of the painting industry are you looking to operate in, industrial, automotive, residential, or commercial.

You can't beat on the job training, but there are plenty of courses you can take through SSPC (Society for Protective Coatings) and others. Obviously the tuitions vary, but with your VA loan options you may be able to off set some costs.

Good Luck to you, and I also thank you for your service.

Welcome to PT. I learned by working for a contractor for several years. There are organizations that offer courses as well as seminars, but working with someone good in your niche of the market is probably the most effective. good luck with the business.

is that a written invitation ???? Gee, no one here has EVER been razzed for asking noobie questions

Welcome!

just PLEASE do not ask, "How much should I charge for.......?"

there is a lot of information here that others have already asked, I know the search engine here is real terrible, but please do try to find answers that have already been covered.
