Default Dirty South Painter

. I didn't start out to get into the painting business but it looks like I'm stuck with it for the time being . It's not that I mind painting , I would rather be a bum full time ! Contrary to popular opinion , the profession is not cheap to get into and it requires a wee bit more knowledge than is readily apparent . I guess what really got me in the business was not being able to find a job that would pay what I figured my time was worth, other than being self-employed . Anyway, I found this site and it seems to be peopled with experianced folks . I'm from Natchez Ms. and will be checking in pretty regularly . Pleased to meet all of y'all !

Welcome. How long have you been painting? How long did you work for someone else before being your own boss? How long have you been the big cheese?

Well, it's hard to say how long I've been painting. For money , not long ; for myself, years ! I've had rental property in the past and that means repaint every time someone moved out . Been the big and/or little cheese for the past two years and it looks like I may have to stick with it for a while longer . Life takes some funny bounces .
