Default Gary$1972 Inroduction

Hello everyone,
I recently returned to painting after folding my business,"property painters" 3 yrs ago when I received a good job offer as an inspector/estimator for bank owned properties. That work dried up and I'm back in the saddle again working for someone else, been painting a comfort inn and will be there for a couple months. Just looking to read/chat about painting after long days behind the brush.

LOL just read the warning about "The topics covered on this site include activities in which there exists the potential for serious injury or death. " lol, I guess that would include my ladder set up yesterday painting a 2nd story wall in the indoor pool room with the ladder at the edge of the pool.

Default Morgan&son intro

Hello fellow painters,
I am a residential house Painter and Soft-Washer from NJ. I have been reading posts on this site for the past month and decided to join . I have been painting ( on the side all my life ) my dad always had 3 jobs ,so I followed suit. I didn't become a full time painter until 6 years ago when I lost my job in the printing industry ( 22 years) .I didn't start my own biz right away, instead I worked with 5 other painters ( all on an as need basis ),for two reason 1 : I wasn't sure I could run my own business and 2. : I needed to learn the tricks of the trade ( and more importantly, what not to do ) . For the past two and a half years my business has done well . I kick myself in the @$! For not doing this sooner. I am probably the happiest painter in NJ. I love this trade ! I still have a lot to learn and that is why I came hear to hopefully seek sound advice on painting/washing issues . Hope I posted this in the right area . ?
