Default Good to meet you

Hi, I'm Doug Mueller from the economically thriving Detroit area . Well actually a little north where there are still a few coins in the sofas that people scrounge for to keep the likes of me off the street.

We have found that we've had to expand our services and work out of trade to keep viable. Heck, I've even started snowplowing. A mix of residential, municipal, and light commercial. It's not bad money, but there is a lot of expense in vehicle upkeep - this is where knowing numbers is critical. In this less than perfect economic times, it's important to keep moving and not stand still like a scared deer in the headlights Those wolves are hungry

I have found that remaining optimistic, light hearted, and knowing what is really necessary in life has gone far to keep my head above water. The world has survived these hiccups before. Some of the chaff gets blown away, but that's all part of survival of the fittest..

I've been a lurker for awhile both as a guest and a member and think I now have the feel of this place.

C ya

Sorry, I didn't confirm that by trade I am a painter. Been in the business since working for my uncle during the summers in high school. Always enjoyed working with my hands and now as I get a little older, it's fun (and a little challenging) running a small company. Yes, I'm still in the bucket and hope to be so for a long time. I enjoy the work and I enjoy working with others. Being a chair jockey just is not my style.

Welcome Doug, from Norfolk, MASS

Sounds like you're a survivor and not a whiner

Never argue with a fool - they will drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
