Default Greetings from the UP

I'm Jonathan from Michigans Upper Pennisula. The far north west part of the UP = 300+ inches snow oct-april.
A painting contractor 50% commercial/institutional with balance residential predominately repaints as new home construction is slow.

Currently working on an old church St. Ignatious Loyola http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Sa...oughton_MI.jpg
Currently working on belltower louvers 93 feet in the air in a basket from a crane. We did the window restoration last year.

I will have some of the photos of our work posted soon.

Been checking out your site for some time and really enjoy the topics and discussion. Have not had much time lately as days are getting shorter, snow is on the way. Thanks Jonathan

welcome Jonathan. Seeing that church reminds me of the pix another member (jackrabbit5) has posted on a few forums of his family members doing a church with 60' wooden ladders and a hanging staging with a ladder on it.

Oh hell, let me search CT and post it here. I have a feeling he won't mind. Notice the date. He's a 3rd generation painter but I do not think he was painting in 59.

My hat's off to all you who work at those heights

What ya mean before winter hit's? Where he is from it is always winter. It is just the milder part of winter now.

And I think exterior season is too short in S. MI. Good luck on wrapping up the exterior stuff this year.
