Hey Jenni Welcome from Philadelphia. Do you guys over at Drift utilize CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design/ Computer Aided Machining for anyone wondering) for you eye wear? I see it does say handmade, but I'm curious if you even use a computer program for layout purposes. I think it's a good idea. I'm involved in the design field as well as painting.

I went to Tyler School of Art for Metals/Jewelry/CAD-CAM so I do a little bit of everything. Mainly I make one of a kind handmade jewelry and objects, I also do a good bit in Rhino and utilize 3D printing in some of my work. Everything i make is based off of graffiti. I'm hoping to get my work in to galleries at some point and I'd really like to get in contact with Obey and see if I could design some stuff for them.

I'm a bit leary of posting my work on the net but here are a few I don't mind sharing.

This is a tooth pick holder that was designed in Rhino and printer in color zcorp plaster. It got an honorable mention in the 2011 Student Colab competition at the Philadelphia museum of Art and was also displayed in the slide show at the Alessi opening.

These are powder coated aluminum earrings that I made for a production class. I have many for sale in all different kinds of color combos

This is a spring hinge bangle with laser cut plastic bronze and sterling silver

This is a brooch made with photo etched copper sterling silver wire and paint.

I have a lot of other pieces I just don't want to put everything out here before I build my website. This is just the tip of the ice burg for the most part. i have a lot more to perfect and learn and market haha. Sorry if I'm blowing up the thread a bit jenni.

hi hi!
yes anyone can place an order to my boss by emailing [email protected]. i make each pair, start to finish. so far it's a good fun job. there are other wooden sunglasses out there but so far we're the only ones that use a steel core. my boss stepped on his glasses the other day and they didn't even crack. as for purses...i use a tactical bag. much better than a regular purse! let me know if you are interested - before you email my boss - and i'll get you a friends and family discount.
