Default hello from the Barmy Army (England)

Aup I've just registered today and thought id tell abit about meself...

I'm 26 from Crewe (near Manchester) im a painter and decorator, ive been doing it since I was 16 and now nearly 27.
Thought id join and see the diffrence between how diffrent countryies do things differently. The UK painters and decorators are all up in arms at the minute because there trying to move us to waterbased paints (there crap) and customers are complaing and in genral the paint in the UK has gine from being the best to very average! Anyway look forward to chating

Hi, bit I disagree that all water based paints are not good. We have some great products here in the states.

Default I love water-based paints.

Dry much faster, easier to work with. In Illinois you cannot use oil-based paint to paint interior. You should check Benjamin Moore Advanced paint - Acrylic - Oil. Great product.

Ditto the fella's comments here on water based, nothing wrong with them IMO.

All in the application and the brush used. Though some brands are poorer than others.
