I just wanted to take a quick moment to introduce myself to all you fine folks. I'm Nichole and I've been running my own painting company for 5 years next month. I studied Fine Art all through school but found myself in the Hospitality Industry for 10 years. After moving out of Chicago I was afforded the opportunity to leave that career and pursue a long time dream of Residential Painting.
I'm based out of Evanston, Illinois and I work exclusively with more environmentally friendly products. I paint, stencil, refinish furniture and cabinets, apply American Clay, provide color consultations and dabble in wallpaper.
I recently joined the PDCA and went to the Expo last week where I met a bunch of phenomenal people working at the top of their craft. I learned a lot, paint is absolutely fascinating to me. Starting my business on my own, I learned a lot through trial and error and though I've come a long way I'm eager to learn more. Being the best painter I can be is what I'm striving for and I want to continue to learn and grow and make sure I'm doing everything the correct way.
While I'm certain that I can improve on my craft through chatting on the forum and reading through posts I wanted to let everyone know that I'm pretty knowledgeable in the area's of customer service and green products. I've used most of the low and no voc products out there and have an opinion about them so I hope to give back to the group as well.
Thanks for having me and thank you to all the fine people I met in St. Louis that were so welcoming!
Welcome to the club from Columbia Mo!!!
