Default Hello from CT

I've lurked here before but now I need to get serious so figured I'd register. My husband and I have a wallpapering business, interior painting when needed. After 25 years, his work is getting very slow, so I'm having to ramp up my role as "sales engineer". He's an artist, but not strong on the whole marketing thing. We've been hit by a slowdown in wallpapering in general, and now by the economy. But it's nothing that can't be turned around by the right marketing approach.

Looking forward to sharing ideas on the marketing end!

Welcome to the site, lots of good reading here!
Nice to have another gal here, even if you are from the East Coast!

Thanks for all the welcomes! It's good to have a place like this to bounce ideas and stories back and forth - being self employed sometimes means going it alone.

Where you be in CT?

I'm from Norfolk MA. And proud member of the NGPP. If you'd like to get in with a real helpful crowd of wacky paperhangers, I could show you the path. We have a very strong CT chapter.

If you are intertested in at least making contact with either the CT Chapter or the Westchester Chapter of the NGPP, let me know and I can give you some contacts.

Two words:
"Digital Wallcoverings"

What it comes down to is, basically:
Whatever the customer wants, it can be done

You can take a picture of their back yard and put it on their interior bathroom wall
Who needs windows?!

At the very least, look into it

Excellent idea Slick.

On another forum, we were just revisiting some digital murals many have have installed recently.

Obviously PWG knows all sides of this coin.
