Default Hello from Golden, Co!

Hi everyone -

Mu name is Mandy Black and I am the Online Customer Liaison for ServiceMagic. I watch forums, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, etc. and try to help any questions or concerns I can. I have been with the company for about 5 years now and can help with anything from your account to social media and marketing your company elsewhere.

A little about me.... I recently bought a foreclosure that has taken up 90% of my spare time. I have done most of the work and have learned more about the trades than I ever would have thought by doing so.

I also have a custom built lifted Jeep I take off-roading as much as possible. It took me 2 years to gather all of the parts and get the custom fab work done but at least she's good to go now. If you off-road, I love to talk trails/modifications!

I look forward to getting to know everyone here.

Thanks!

Mandy Black

Welcome to the forum Mandy. SM does not have the best reputation from some contractors. I hope you stick around and disprove the reputation.

Although in all fairness I know that it works well for some so maybe some have unrealistic expectations.

Mandy,

Thanks for the intro.

And thank you for being brave enough to voice the other side of the coin. That's what makes this country great, and Paint Talk too. I have no love for SM, but being one of the six moderators here, I will do my best to treat YOU respectfully as a person and guide others to do the same.

I do have one question. You popped onto the scene at the same time that a thread was centered on SM, and a lot of it bashing SM. I have to assume that was no coincidence. Just out of interest, how did that work? Do you search the net for discussion about SM and then join? Or is there a bot that does that for SM and then notifies you? Or did someone freindly to SM tell you to enter the discussion?

There is NOTHING wrong with you defending SM, I think that is a GOOD thing. Just curious as to how you were alerted to this particular discussion.

thanks

Bill, Mandy may have other methods, but using Google Alerts allows you to monitor activity on the web for any keywords and get notified.

Hey Bill -

I am already a member of ContractorTalk and ElectricianTalk along with several other forums. ContraactorTalk has so many sub-forums that it is difficult to be on them all unless I need to be. I search most of the forums for mentions about us on a daily basis.

I do have Google Alerts set up as well. PaintTalk's thread about ServiceMagic actually came up in a Google Alert which is when I decided to join on to this forum as well.

Thanks,

Mandy
