Default Hello, Im New Here

Hello All,

I've just joined. I'm a painting contractor in North Atlanta, GA area.
I have over 20 years of painting experience but can always learn more from my fellow paint contractors.

Looking forward to having some good discussions and sharing useful information.

Thanks.

What? You don't loan people money for their projects?

Maybe its because he doubles as a bank?

I wouldn't even finance my blind, deaf and mute mom without a 10% deposit and have a draw schedule agreement signed. I would even go through the lien procedures if she was a day late or a dollar short.

Never argue with a fool - they will drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

Thumbs up Deposits

Thanks for the warm welcome, it seems as if I was in a room with my brothers. When I first came to Georgia in 1997, I found that the painters here were not very good at business and people were very leary to give a drunk some money, because then they would disappear. Or they would give a deposit and be told that the job would start in two weeks, a month later they have a hard time getting someone to call them back. I find that most of our repaints we finish in a week. I have accounts at paint stores and don't need to pay them for 30 days so I wouldn't need a deposit for materials.
I have found that this has worked VERY well for my company but to each his own.

If only I knew that in 97 my toes would not be half frozen today. Glad things are working well for you and Georgia is a beautiful state.
