Default Hello from MA

Been a full time painter since '94. Spent 3 yrs as a painter in UK. I've recently branched off my employer to start my own painting business. I've used this site to absorb alot of valuable info over a few months to improve my customer relations and pricing.

Although I am still an ultra noob on the business end of painting. I am a great painter. And I don't hope to just use this site for info.. I like to debate which paints/brushes etc are the best!

So with a growing confidence, I'd like to be an increasingly active member

Thnx for the welcomes!

OFC Purdy is the only brush

I'm located in Fall River

I have few customers as of yet, so I travel as far as easton and plymouth

As much as I'd love to stay local. The calls aren't exactly flooding in.. but I recon between all the sudden diy'ers and ppl working for food. I am grateful there are still ppl that understand and respect quality work.

Most hated comment I ever heard was 'if you can piss you can paint' makes me so mad.

I'm not aware of that.. but must have been pretty harsh if they were forced to travel over 3000 miles to find work.

Never argue with a fool - they will drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

It appears that I can reply to posts.. but when trying to start a topic, it keeps sending me to the login screen. Is this because I'm waiting approval? or perhaps It's another Vista enigma?

I am curious if anyone had tried the new Behr Ultra Primer/Paint in one.
Although a huge fan of Behr for Int. I am doubtful of the longevity of such a product?

Gee, I thought the South Coast was awash with opportunities and money I mean it says so on the radio all the time

Try marketting the monied towns down there - So. Dartmouth, Westport, Marion, etc. If you need expert wallpaper installations, that's only an hour for me.

Cool, theres nothing I find more irritating than hanging wallpaper.

You're right though.. there are a few pockets of money around that I will put more focus on.

Been thinking if ppl aren't becoming more confident w the economy blah blah.. (sick of hearing about it) I might start a ladder delivery/rental service on the side for all the DIYers. Sound crazy enough to work?
Def. need an injury waiver form though.

Bet alot of ppl would need a monthly agreement too lmao
