Default Hello from Okanagan, BC Canada!

Great forum you guys got here. Been reading and learning plenty over the last couple of weeks - sometimes more than I have from working under other painters!

I've been painting for 4 years for various companies and contractors and recently have gone through and gotten my own licensing and clientèle. In the process of buying all of the tools I no longer have access to from working under someone else.

Still got a lot to learn before doing the same quality of work as you all and this seems to be a good place to start taking that extra step. I'm registered for a Painting and Decorating "apprentice" course at FTI BC which is rewarded with a Red Seal upon completion.

In the mean time I'm taking on repaints and a few new residential construction jobs. I'll be buying a new sprayer for the new construction job I have coming up (4800 sq feet).

Right now I've been doing business with a new Sherwin Williams that has opened up in the place of General Paint but will be using Benjamin Moore for jobs as well as it is commonly requested in my area.

Today I did some shopping and picked up a 2'-4' and a 4'-8' Purdy extension pole, a 5 Gallon Purdy bucket, an adjustable 12"-18"roller frame, a couple of Handy Pails, some new Halogen lights,

Anyway, thanks for having me!

Welcome from the lower mainland. The teachers at FTI are awesome. I went there 6 years ago.

Hi, I have to say that I have been painting as my own Company for 5+years. I can't tell you how many times I had a question or needed help and found it here.
