Default Hello from the Poconos

Hi everyone I can't believe I've never found this forum before. I've been working paint industry for the last 15 years. My Dad started the company in 1978 and I've been working with him since I've been old enough to hold a roller. We mostly do residential repaint with an occasional commercial job. Our area was hit hard by the recession and we went from employing ten guys to just me and my old man. I'm involved in every aspect of the business from estimating, marketing, and painting. I built the website myself in 1995 and have remodeled it at least five times since then, but recently we have been considering using footbridge media. I look forward to learning from you as well as sharing knowledge I've learned.

Welcome from Pittsburgh.

What is the place in, or possibly near by Poconos off of I-80 that is like a gated community? Think you pay a buck or two to get in. Then looks to be vacation homes through out. Had a little lake, a beach and some live music.

I randomly take exits off 80 when I get bored to check out different areas. Was just talking a couple days ago trying to remember what that place was.

There are a ton of gated communities around here, but I think you're talking about split rock. It's right down the road from the pocono raceway.

I'll have to look into it. We was talking small weekend getaways without much travel time & I thought back to whatever place it was we pulled off to that time. Kid would enjoy it.

The best place to go for the weekend up here would have to be Great Wolf Lodge. It's awesome the have an indoor water park and tons of stuff to do. Plus your close to the casino, tons of good microbreweries, camel beach, golf, and the outlets. It's off I80 scottrun exit.

Sweet will look into. After looking up Split Rock, I'm pretty sure that was the place I pulled off to last time. Had the water park near by & the layout of lake looks the same with parking lot I pulled into to take a stretch.

The traffic is insane! I dread race weekend. It's worth taking a trip up to see qualifying on Saturday. Thats a lot of fun and the traffic is ok then.
