Howdy folks.

Did a google for a painters forum and landed here.

I am looking at getting back into painting full time. It was always something I enjoyed. I have about 4 years experience not counting part time jobs helping my brother out. He's a one man paint contractor himself, I work for him on weekends if he needs some help.

I'm currently employed as a locksmith in central Oregon and have been for the past 5 years. But all of my friends and some family have moved off to the Spokane/CDA area and Im trying to get there as well.

I went up for a few days last week filled out a dozen applications and never heard from anyone, I think it's likely because of my Oregon address.

So if you are in that area and hiring a prep, brush and roll guy give me a pm. I can spray in a pinch but I'd rather not. My spray training was like this ME: uh the lead just quit Paint Dept. Mgr. so pick up the gun and finish the house. Then paint 2 more by yourself... lol...

My last full time painting employment was with Comfort Insulation in Bend, OR. Which was new construction. If you go to Hayden homes online and to their Village at Cold Springs area, I painted most of the homes there, interior and exterior, with 12-20 lacquer doors per home.

Comfort insulation was bought out by Gale and the paint department was closed down, or I'd still be painting.

I have a place to stay in the area, I have reliable transportation and I can be on site ready to work with 24hr notice.

Have to try, right?
