Default Hi from CA!

Hello All!

newbie here from CA.

My dad has been a painter for 100 years out here in CA. I'm 32. i have a degree in mechanical engineering but have decided to take a break from that grind to help him grow his business.

I see huge upside potential in bidding and landing military prevailing wage jobs.

I have at least 2 bids a week or more that i am working on. Averaging about $300k. We have a couple of contract estimators that i am learning from.

I'm slowly getting our bidding process dialed in.

I use the stack estimating software to get wall square footages.

What i really need it production rates - if anyone has any good references PLEASE pass them along.

Take care.

Welcome from SC! I'd check out the pdca for production rates.

Welcome to PT!

I'm impressed that after 100 years your dad still wants to grow his business.
