Appreciate the input. Pressure Pros and Colour Republic, I can honestly say that I understand your opinions regarding the free special report and the headline. I feel it is a risky strategy myself and I'm now considering changing this. All I can say is that I'd rather have you guys bashing the headline and article than a potential customer. This is a good test.

Wise Painter, I've been painting now for about a year, and to fill any gaps I may have from lack of experience I'm going to hire experienced and seasoned help. If you'd like to see my work check out my website.

Like I said these specials are EXPERIMENTAL But... these are the exact prices that a painter (and talented business man) I know in northern California uses in his specials, and he's been doing this for 31 years. Right now I'm using his specials as a model from which to start with. He's been having great success with these same exact specials. He says that very rarely will some one have him just do the one door, people will commonly do much more than that. And even in the rare case that it was just that one door, it's a great opportunity to establish a long term relationship with a new client who now knows and trusts you. They're now very likely to use you in the future for larger jobs and will tell people they know about you if they ask them about a painter. It's all about the publicity, getting your name out there.

Welcome. I like your site. The word "touch-ups" is misspelled (toutchups) on your coupons.

Welcome to the board Josh.
Like the website, the "Color Sense Game" is really cool, haven't seen that before, however it also takes you away from your site. I like it anyway.
ON your "Recent Projects" page the word "a" has been omitted in first line
"Take look at some of QP most recent projects."
Hang in there dude, you've come to play with the big boys now!

your cut line is sloppy right where the bottom piece of vent trim meets the wall on that garage and also you got white paint on the gutter hangers and the red entry door looks like it was rolled??? ..........if you worked for me I would fire you and keep a days pay then have you arrested for some trumped up charge and imprisoned for at least 5 yrs hard labor no visitations, justin beiber or TV.......

welcome aboard !! .................. other then what i noticed it appears you do nice work........good luck to you

The last 12 x 12 we painted had 4 doors.....an entry, an ensuite door and a set of french doors to the walk in closet! Your ad said doors...

Please, please, please study why this special will make you broke fast. Then when you realize that you need way more (5 x) than this to paint this room professionaly and deliver a product worthy of a referral you will thank us. I tried the volume and lost leader games....it doesn't pay my insurance, retirement savings, dental, truck payments, advertising, salaries, accountant, taxes, equipment, support growth, build a safety net, etc..You will end up working for nothing. Start out strong now, because it is easier to come down if you need to than to come up once you set the bar this low.

Thanks for the warm welcome all! I genuinely appreciate all of the critiques.

French doors and a lot of extras will be additional cost, and those are just prices for labor.

THOSE SPECIALS ARE JUST TO GET THE CUSTOMER TO CALL ME.

It's called a bait and switch, big companies like AT&T use this tactic all the time. The first step to sales is to get the customer's attention, I can charge whatever I need to after that as long as there's a good reason for it.

To Wise Painter, There's a big difference between constructive criticism and being a dick. Your acting like a dick. If you don't have anything positive to say that'll help me or others out. Don't respond at all. You can keep your negativity because no body needs it. If you do however come up with something to actually improve my business systems I'll honestly be glad to here it.
