Default Hi From PEI Canada

Hello folks . Glad I found this forum today . It always helps to have help from other professionals in our field because it is almost impossible to find it at the big box stores anymore with all the small mom and pop paint stores almost all gone .
I'm sure I will have questions for some on here and hopefully I can help answer some for others . I have participated in many discussion forums over the last 10 years and have posted 1000's upon 1000's of questions and answers . LOL...the only catch being that they were mostly in Satellite TV/Hockey forums . I also had a satellite tv biz as a sideline for about 10 years and I ended up making it full time when the boom was on and had a friend run the painting biz at the same time . Nowadays my friend and I run the painting and we have 3-5 employees year round and have been brushing and rolling along for 24 years .

Most of our work is in new homes with some commercial as well . We do interior and exterior painting . We do a lot of pressure washing of older homes in the Summer/Fall months . We do not do very much spray work although we have the gear to do it . One quick word of advice while I think about it...don't buy stuff you will only use about once a year...rent it . LOL...I've learned my lesson finally .

Our last big purchase was a Simon MP60ft manlift that was about 15 years old . Think about what you need to haul a rig like that , that weighs about 8 ton...we didn't ! Fortunately nobody was killed on it while it was in our posession and we made 2 grand on it when we sold it .

I have some reading to do and feeling out around the forum...catch ya all on the backroll !

Never argue with a fool - they will drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
