Default Howdy

Howdy, my names Dan. I've been lurking the last week. Seems like a pretty informative site, when your not crushing the new guy I've decided to add my 2 cents and maybe pick up a little more knowledge from you all.

I'm a small contractor in the Boise area. I am a commercially trained painter but I do an awful lot of residential repaints as this is the direction my company has gone.

Thanks you all!
There is no going rate for Boise. You just throw out random numbers and hope...

Nice URL!! The going rate for Boise fences is .99 per sqft. Make sure not to add the slat space.

Welcome! How is the economy doing in Idaho? We have been thinking about a move to Couer D Alene in the future. How does the licensing (lack of) affect how business is done?

painttofish thats a pretty (dolly varden?) trout in your avatar! Are you in the Northwest?
RC I don't know much about CDA other then long winters (I'm told) Supposed to be beautiful though. As far as licenses you only need to pay the state 30 bucks and TA DA! your a "licensed" contractor
Boise economy is doing ok, but not great.

I saw that when I did some research. Does that mean every guy with a brush underbids you? Utah is complete opposite and I like it!

I bid a small exterior repaint this Spring at 2100.00. I knew I was a little high but not out of line. HO says "WOW! Thats a lot more than we thought. Our other bid was 1300.00"

Brown trout! No grayling here in MI anymore. We used to have a wonderful population of Dolly's. The only Grayling we have now is the town named after the fish that sits on the upper Au Sable river.

Best river east of the Mississippi is the Au Sable of MI! The place of origin for Trout Unlimited. Yes it is over fished, no more grayling, and way to many canoes, but it is still magical! Support your local TU chapter.
