Default Howdy

Hey there. This is Fauxpat from Dallas. I have had a decorative painting business for about 16 years now in Dallas and Fort Lauderdale. I am getting ready to move to East Texas and add straight painting to my business. In this economy, we have to do everything possible to stay afloat. I am really excited about the new aspect of my business but also terrified. There is so much to learn about base painting and the prep work is probably the most important. I do not do exterior work at this point so I have no idea what to expect. I am certain that this site is going to be like a bible to me in the early stages of my new business. I have a website, www.imageartstudio.com if anyone is interested. I would love to meet some painters in my area to get to know and learn from. Until then, I have a tremendous amount of reading to do so I will be on here for a long long time. Thanks for being here for me.

Default Welcome

Hey I am down in austin, and want to say welcome to PT. Texas' economy is doing reall well! You'll find a lot of great weather to do some work in and a lot of cheap help (it's not what I use, but it's around). Great idea about talking to those in your area, you'll find a lot of great companies in dallas to talk to and work with.

Never argue with a fool - they will drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
