Exclamation Howdy, been lurking for awhile

Just thought I'd introduce myself and say THANK YOU! for all the usfull information I've gleened from some of the posts I've been reading while lurking on the sidelines. I've been painting and doing home repair for a living for a bit over 3 years now. I' owned another business since I was @ 18 years old at it's peak had over 100 employes.Found out the hard way how tough it is for a 9 million a year company to compete with a 500 billion a year one is. I fought the good and brave fight although a stupid and loosing one till I had nothing left to give. Found out that there isn't much demand for 55 year old men. I'm one of those "Over Qualifide" types. I owned all the tools and had been working out of a 55 year old building for 20 years, that will teach you alot about fixing stuff. No offence to anyone but after paying painters to paint my plant 3 times in 6 years I figured it was time to learn how to do it myself. Sooo long story short after doing it I kind of liked it it got to be a fun little benifit for my employees the boss will bring all his stuff and help you paint your house.
Now after doing it for a living mybe not so fun but I do feel good seeing the look on peoples faces when thier home is done... really like the Thank You and the payment with a smile. Being able to sleep with no midnite phone calls about a piece of equipment down or a truck in a wreck or someone not showing up for work.
Now it's my son and I. I'm smart enough to walk away from jobs I can't handle. I know how much I need to charge to keep it going. My pride won't let me leave a job half done.
Any way I've bored you to death buy now but once again THANK YOU ALL!!
