VP, maybe it was this post that gave him the idea that he didn't know anything and your welcome could have been taken the wrong way???

I wouldn't want to stick around if I took this like I think he might have...

I could be wrong... just a thought...

Wow Jason, I don't think I have met a painter yet who was quite that sensitive.

Actually, there was this one dude, but Seth is twice the man he was...

I've been active on many contractor boards over the past 8 or 9 years. People come and go quicker than I change underwear. There are many reasons, but the biggest reason is people go out of business. If rude behavior were the reason, I would have quit posting long ago and I'd be crying in my pillow.

Richard Kaller, who I regard as one of the most influential people in my life, was very active on many boards when he was alive. Many people absolutely hated him, and their venom dripped from my monitor everytime I read one of their posts. They tried to read between the lines and interpret his words to mean something different from what was written or intended.

I found these people both amusing and very sad. They were so easily offended that their hatred literally blinded them. The hatred was sad. The manner in which they expressed it was usually amusing because it was so pathetically juvenille.

My point is, if someone is so easily offended that they refuse to return here and post because of what Scott wrote (which wasn't rude IMO), that person has some serious issues. As Kaller would often write, it is akin to be offended when someone claims you have green hair. Too many people get their panties in a wad over nothing.

The names change, but the stories remain the same.

Dave

Not singling out, this was the question. Then things went a little nutty as they sometimes do around here. Seth contributed 29 posts in Jan and Feb and then disappeared. More than anything, its a sad commentary on the fact that I would notice such a thing.

I think it was litterally my first post on another board where I asked some rookie question. RK chimed right in with some great advice. Then the thread turned into a bunch of guys warning the rookie to beware of Richard and he was going to try to sell me something and blah, blah, blah. Well he never tried to sell me anything though I may have bought it if he did. His posts were extremely beneficial to me and many others.
