I am a painting contractor in St.Louis Mo. We specialize in surface preparation. We sand the surface of all walls, doors and trim etc..prior to paint application.

So to be clear, you only do the prep part of jobs and someone else does the actual painting?

Maybe in the future we will do prep only jobs, but so far we do the painting ourselves. Mostly residential work.

Prep before painting is the excepted norm as far as professionals are concerned!

Yes , I agree. But most of my customers tell me that previous painters showed up with brushes and rollers, no Sanders. Their walls and trim had a new coat of paint but the old roller fuzz and drip marks from pervious hacks still remain. I don’t claim to be the best. I just try to do my best at a fair price.
