I started in the paint industry in 1978, a friend recommitted that i should for get a c33 painting license in the state of California which i did. Long story there but by the early 80s years i did that. I but i I realize that it was a conflict of interest. I completed many successful projects... but i also sold paint to my local competitors and that saw that as unfair...why while i was one of in charge of running my familys paint store while supplying paint to my competitors and other painters that had to complete we me on bids or estimates. Was wrong i did that for less than year....and still selling and providing the best coatings for 40 years.

Around here there were quite a few paint stores that ran painting crews, many were very successful. I never knew anyone who complained about it, if they did just go to another paint store!

An old friend of mine Ray was a long time PC, he was telling an old lady customer about how competitive business was becoming. She said "Ray if you don't want competition, go to the cemetery".
