Default A Man For All Reasons

Hi to everyone,
As the name explains I do and have done mostly every home improvement and repair immaginable. I have been in business for 20 years and believe me I have seen it all. When it comes to painting I do like MAB paint, B Moore paint and Behr Paint although I am not a big fan of Home Depot. Wish I had found this website years ago, if it was up. Look forward to talking to many and if I can be of assistance email me. I'll do my best to answer questions that I have knowledge in.

Nice to meet you handy man. Instead of underpricing jobs and doing it all yourself with Behr paint try hiring a professional. Thanks for joining. Been dull around here.

Default Out of control

What a fuzzy warm feeling I have from the reply to my introduction. There are way too many people who spend their life on this website. Some of you may consider working once in awhile. I cant begin to tell you how many times I was contracted to redo a paint job that had been done by a " Proessional Painter" . If you would like to call me a "handyman" I do not have a problem with that. I'm pulling in six figures as a handyman and have never had to advertise from day one. If anything, I do not undercut anyone, and most of the time am more expensive than most. I have a large client base and have never had a callback for inferior workmanship. As far as mentioned about women calling for services, when my wife ran my office she did have afew requests for a man's service but my wife was quick enough to tell the women that if I was running that type of business I would have to go rent the equipment. Now that I think about it I think she insulted me. All kidding aside, thanks for your imput. I can see this is a great website to have fun and oh yea, learn something.

OH DAMN, we're gonna loose another newbie.

Man, I don't totally disagree with NEPS, but I woulda put what he said a wee differently.

We've been burned lately by people who can't spell, have no humility, and have huge chips on their shoulders. I think you picked a wrong time to enter as you did. Not that there's anything wrong with it. The wounds are just too raw at the moment.

NEPS and Timhag and all the other true professionals here, really can be very helpful and - shall I say - nurturing, but they also can be a little ... umm ..... "direct" (search the archives for their banter about weight - whoooooo eeeee). Even that Yankee Fan Homey is a good man, under that damn logo

My only suggestion is to walk back out the door and try a different entry. I'll be here to open the door, what you say and do after that is up to you.

If you blow it again, you might as well drink some Jimmy Jones Kool-aid

good luck,

-Bill (the other Masshole )

Bill, I like and respect you also but please don't use my name in the same sentence as NEPS. I'll let it go this time. Thanks

OK, Sorry, NEPS

No disrespect meant, I had reasons not necessarily pertaining to you - maybe a good discussion over that brew soon, but not for here.

And Timhag ..... well .... (should I post Bart mooning)

OK ...gotcha ....I think it is getting silly when everone starts in on someone right away....and calling me into it. But when a self proclaimed Guru starts his first post on here offering his expertise to anyone that wants to email him, he deserves what he gets from this motley crowd.

....Going back to my hiatus ....email me for that beer ....working down at Otis air base this weekend ...maybe next week?

DAMN, that was my point ! Remind me to kill you later, knucklehead.

The weekend of the 20 - 21 is out for me. I'll be tossing back some serious cocktails with PWG at our convention.

EDIT: Let me rephrase that in case HE'S offended. PWG will be tripping over my lifeless, pickled, decrepid, bourbon soaked body at our convention

-Bill

Bill, how many times do I have to tell you.
You smoke, then drink.
You can't drink, then smoke.
