Been painting for 1 year...Yes I am a newbie. After graduating college last may and not finding a job I decided to make my own. No it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be and it takes a lot of knowledge that takes years to attain but I am finding my way. I am a little biased when it comes to using SW and Ben-Moore but other then that I am a normal dude

A year in will equal some mistakes. If you learn from them and enjoy the trade then you will be golden. Welcome to PT.

Welcome to PT.
Are you biased towards, or against, BM and SW?

Probably should warn him that most here are okay with BM or SW - but we are all definitely biased against "normal" guys.

Located in Augusta GA, Only use SW and Ben-Moore. Mainly because the reps around here are awesome.

Welcome

Most painters online use SW and BM.

I've found some great deals on paint at Wal-Mart. The cheaper the better. Just kidding, most everyone here loves SW and BM. Welcome to the forum!

After a year there may be many questions depending upon how you were trained.

Meh... my dad was a violinist and a part time house painter until somebody asked him if he knew how to hang wallpaper.

He said, "uh, yeaaah?"

Experience is largely overrated.

Welcome Cam3sc!
