I'm not a pro, but do a great deal of painting as my "hobby" after retiring from teaching. Yea, teaching. What teacher didn't paint during the summers. I love painting. I find it therapeutic and satisfying. And I'm good. The extra money is also good.
I respect you professionals, and admire your craft and expertise. I want to learn as much as possible to be better equipped to perform the tasks I've undertaken. I will never be as technically savvy as are you. For me, it's the process and the product that I'm interested in.

If you find my participation in this room to be inappropriate, please say so, and I'm gone.

Thanks in advance, Igneous
