Hey all, Iím James.

Iím almost 30 and Iíve been painting, as well as framing, finish carpenter-ing, floor installing and you name it for about 10 years now.

Recently I struck out on my own and am now focusing on painting.

I have recently been getting a ton of calls to give quotes on repainting kitchen cabinets, so I have been doing a lot of research on this site and others as well as working with my local reps to figure out the best approach and technique as well as products to achieve a high end finish.

I luckily do have some experience with HVLP as I am also a furniture builder, so, I have used HVLP a few times with poly and shellac to finish projects, however, I have not used an HVLP to paint. Ever. So I will be posting here soon with some questions about which HVLP unit I should invest in, as I donít believe my $200 Rockler unit will cut it. As well as what paint system I should use. I really hope the collective knowledge here will help me out as I am a perfectionist and I donít want to ever deliver a sub-par product to any customer.

I have used airless a decent amount on exteriors for paint and solid stains, so I do know a bit about spraying paints.

Anyway, I appreciate the knowledge Iíve gotten here over the last year or so while I was lurking, unregistered, and now that I have more knowledge to share I joined up and hopefully now I can contribute as well as learn

Thanks again!
