Default New Member, Hi Y'all

Good Evening,
I am a new member by the name of Bill.
I have been painting for 21 years.
I hold no licenses because as a Libertarian, I do not feel government has the right to monopolize work or bribe them so I can work.

I have the luxury of being able to stay working through word of mouth referrals and knowing people who flip homes to stay working so I don't have to suck up my pride and become "licensed" in a country my Father and other Americans fought, sacrificed and died for to preserve Liberty and freedom. If we have liberty and freedom, we should not need to be licensed to work in a free country.

Painting is the only work that relaxes me and I am privileged to read and learn more from fellow Professional painters in the field that I love.

I am 35 years old, from the Chicago suburbs and I am married, for 10 years this February, with no children and two dogs. A purebred Beagle and a purebred Pug.

Welcome to the forum.

No need to discuss your licensing status. You may or may not know, but there is NO licensing requirement for painting contractors in the state of Illinois. Of course RRP is a completely different matter.

Thank you for noticing. But The same should apply no matter what state I live in. But the forum when I enrolled asked that I introduce myself, explain what licences I have, so that is why I stated what I stated.

RRP, red rash penis? I have no clue what that is. Try English in your abbreviations before you assume you know you know everyone speaks abbreviations in this day and age with multiple abbreviations.

It's the law that governs the procedures we use when working with lead paint, so we don't poison ourselves or our customers.

Love it when the introduction has the flavor and personality of the poster rather than just "Hi, looking forward to learning and sharing tips".

Welcome, looking forward to seeing what you have to share. There's a lot of good information here, you can learn some tips.

(But we already have a "Bill".)
