Cool New Member from Ohio decides not to lurk anymore!

Hello Everyone,

I am Vincent and be been a member here for a few weeks now and I have yet to make any posts yet so I thought I would take the time to introduce myself. Well like I said I am Vincent and I am from Dublin, Ohio I grew up painting since my father owns a painting company and he always said I was cheap labor LMAO! I have been painting for my fatherís company full time since 1995. Now here in a few months I will be taking over his company as he plans on finally 100% retire.

I am a little nervous taking over his business even though I have pretty much been running it for the last 2 years with my father shadowing me and showing me how to run the company. But I think I should do fine with the company. I am always open to advice or suggestions so if you have any feel free to let me know. Thanks every one I also hope to make some more posts here seem like a pretty good group of people.[/FONT]

You're a lurker until you start showing some hostility towards pricing threads, then subsequently, you start relaxing about them and wait for somebody else to exhibit hostility.

Welcome Vincent,

Wish you luck with taking over the company.

I do have good friends in Dublin, on Ashford Rd. He's a math prof at Ohio St (imagine, someone in Dublin working at the college )

Welcome Vincent!

I also am a second generation painter. Started with dad in 85 right out of high school. He made me a junior partner in the early 90s, and fully retired in 2001. Cherish the last of these days before he hangs up the brush for the last time.
