New member saying hello!
My name is Steve Harper and I just recently found this forum by the grace of my son who knows WAY MORE than I do about the Internet.
I am a 60-year-old veteran of the Paint industry. I started out in coatings by working a sales territory for Olympic Stain in the early 70's and have since then served as a Sales manager for Muralo Paints and even owned a paint store in the Southeast for a time. My entire career has been in this wonderful industry.
For the past 15 years I have operated my own business selling equipment of various kinds to painting professionals and paint retailers. Currently my business, Harper Inc. sells and services all of the equipment needed to color match, dispense and mix coatings to every level in the paint industry. We serve paint manufacturers, retailers, and pros across the US and the world. Though you may not have done business with us before directly there is a good chance that you have applied coatings that were matched, dispensed or shaken using a piece of equipment that we have sold, repaired or touched in some way, regardless of whether or not you are in New York, NY or Vidalia, GA or Jakarta, Indonesia. We have of 35,000 pros and retailers that we are proud to call our customers.
We are joining this forum to offer our professional advice on maintaining equipment and to help ourselves better understand the market that we are in. Please do not hesitate to ask us any question that you have regarding color matching, tinting and dispensing equipment as well as shakers and mixers. We will be happy to offer advice without any sort of sales pitch.
Also, with over 30 years of experience sitting in the boardroom with the leaders of nearly every paint company in the world we may be a great connection point for people trying to get connected to executive leadership within the manufacturing industry.
Thanks for reading and we look forward to learning more about your community!
