Greetings all, the name's David i'm a journeyman painter in the Palm Springs area. Been painting for 11 years now and I can actually say I like it lol. Mostly experienced in brush and roll, spraying, staining, some faux finishing, drywall repair and texturing.

Thanks guys...ok fauxing, faux painting whatever you choose to call it lol. Mostly just ragging on a glaze over a base coat type of stuff. As for the drywall, mostly minor repairs like a hole in the wall...i'm not interested in sheetrocking a whole room.

Yes on the spray work...i'm in the middle of doing some cabinets with semi-gloss enamel. Pretty basic job if it weren't for my airless giving me grief

Dave, I lived in La Quinta, Palm Desert and Indio. I'm in Beaumont now but still work all over the Coachella Valley.

Welcome from another site newbie. Watch the G.C.'s they do not like to pay extras or fixing latent damage.

I'm not exactly a subcontractor for this GC, i'm basically working directly for him. I give him my hours and receipts for the week and I get paid every friday.

Home Depot...i know, i know lol...I'm only using them because the GC gets the pro paint discount which is better than my Dunn-Edwards discount.

Well at least your staying busy. It hard to do these days in the Coachella Valley. I know a few painters doing what your doing. Glad you found this site and look forward to your contribution

I buy from Vista Paint in Cathedral City

Good luck!
