Smile New Old Painter

Hi all,

I'm 61, and have been in business since 1987, and have been a Painter /Paperhanger almost all my life and NOW I decide to join a paint talk forum?

I should be thinking of retiring, but I'm not quite ready for that. Anyway, nice to be here, and I may be of some help, as experience is wisdom...most of the time.

Dec 27 1949 for me...my wife was born Jan '50.
She reminds me that she was born in the 50's while I was born in the 40's

Wait a minute, YOU should be reminding HER that YOU were born in the 40's NOT the 50's. She's so proletarian.

BTW, our family's "lucky" number is 27. Parents supposedly met on June 27, were engaged on a 27'th, and were married 7 years before your birth date on Dec 27 '42. 27 months later my oldest brother was born on March 27. And the number keeps popping up. (my address now is 127 Seekonk St).

Hell, you're practically family

Not a chance of that. Larry will support the theory that we do it with smoke and mirrors - oh wait a minute that was how we lived through the 60's and 70's.

Experience is so valuable. Hope you share with all of us often. I have a 72 year old gentleman that works at my paint outlet. He's been selling paint for over 40 years. Hope he sticks around much longer as I know I'll never find another person with his knowledge and experience.
