Default New to Paint Talk

Hello, I'm Todd and my wife/partner Darla, are TDD Enterprises. We are licensed general contractors from Southwest Minnesota. We do most things ourselves from start to finish, and we pride ourselves on the finished product. I've been learning from all of your experiences for a while now, and decided to join up. Hopefully I can lend a hand when I feel I have something of value to add. I appreciate sarcasm and joking, dislike politics and drama.

Thanks for the greetings! We hope to learn, have fun, & maybe just BS a little. We're kinda too far from anywhere that has access to better products etc., so new techniques are slow to be accepted around here. We're about to finish up a small reno with some wallpaper. Been a while since the last done. Luckily my wife has a good memory! (She forgets NOTHING) We had to repair cracked plaster after the old paper was stripped. Skimmed all the walls, primed with Kilz Premium. Ready to size & hang in the morning. I like to take before & after pics, so we'll see if it turns out well enough to post any.

Welcome! I wouldn't view this site if it wasn't for the politics and drama. However, the funny thing is, when I view other sites like, lets say a cop forum for instance, I always find the sarcastic posts coming off rather ridiculous and arrogant, and out of place. Then I think of what I've posted on a professional painter's site and cringe at the thought.
