Default New Painting Business in Western Washington

Hello all-

Just wanted to introduce myself. I recently started my own painting business. I started painting during summers when I was 16 years old for a somewhat small, new company but with a very motivated owner. I have worked for that same company as a painting lead off and on for the past 13 years. I went to college and got my degree in biology so I could teach. Did that for four years, decided I wanted to be my own boss and started this. After I started the company, my old boss/former friend offered me a chance to partner up; 50-50. His company had grown to a little over a million in total revenue and he was taking in about 30% in profits so it would have been a good deal financially. I tried that out for 6 months but I decided to not continue with the deal due to some issues. So now I am out on my own!

I have three exteriors lined up but we are in the middle of some typically wet spring weather here in Washington. Luckily, I was given a decent bonus as a settlement for not partnering up so I can survive for now. Good to be here! Hope to contribute something from time-to-time. I will be pestering your forum for awhile on recommendations for equipment purchasing. My painting skills are great but my knowledge of equipment is at an employee level and not an owner level.

Welcome! Can I take the guess that you're located somewhere near Roche Harbor?
