Default New to the Painting World

Hello,

I just started working for a General Paint Contractor here in Miami and I need some help or some type of direction . Is there a class or program where I can learn to read plans and do estimations for exterior and interior jobs . Looking at plans seems very interesting but I really need HELP . If there is someone out there that can lead me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.

Thank you

Jessica

Were you hired as an estimator, or would you like to learn to estimate?

Ask your boss.

If you just started, why the interest? Its pretty simple. You have a floorplan, you have elevations. You have a scale on each page. You have a finish legend. You have a door schedule. The A pages are all you need to care about. (Usually). Look them over. And over and over again. Its just time and repitition.

If your asking how to estimate, that my friend, is something that comes with time, trial and error, and good job tracking.
