I was taught the proper way was Or-ĭ-gun




But what do I know, i can't even (or won't) pronounce Boston like a Townie, or a Southie, but do so like a Brahmin

If we say it fast it tends to come out that way. If we slow down when saying it the "e" comes out more like the long vowel sound. The stress is on the first syllable. Born here and other than a few years up in "Warshington", lived all my life here.

I am not a religious person, at all. But I am saying a prayer for the folks in Moore, OK.

the destruction from that tornado was horrible.
