In the "staff room" a few days ago, I mentioned how nice it was to see more women were joining the forum.

And if you know the mods, especially with RCP representing the estrogen set, you can believe that thread got frightfully funny and righteously racy all of a sudden.

welcome to all the women who have recently made Paint Talk their new home. It's good to have balance.

I understand very well. Next time you come to Maine, maybe you would come work with us for a day--it'd be fun and help you pay your travel costs! I've gotten the travel bug recently, but I'm only in a position to make invitations right now. I'll be staying close to home base for awhile yet.

Thanks so much, Gabe! I notice on your website that you serve San Diego. My sister has a real estate brokerage in San Diego, through Keller-Williams, I think. She's a big networker, does in fact make a living as a broker, and is very funny, bordering on lunacy (but not to her clients). She has a lot of integrity and cares about her clients, and looks for those attributes in others. Should I send her a link to your website? Nothing may come of it, but you never know. She's mostly residential, but I'm pretty sure she has a commercial license, too; I know she's been pursuing more commercial listings. Anyway, your welcome is most kind!

I realized shortly after I posted my reply to Bill that I didn't understand all the ramifications of the "quote" button--when I saw "originally posted by" TJ Painting, I got sort of confused and thought Bill was operating under a separate alias, for some reason. But apparently you were both merely separated at birth. In my universe, anyway. And it made everyone's tails wag, so it's all good in the end

Thanks, Chris, I have read a few of his posts online, but I should check them out more systematically. I am actually doing a little email course with him, and whenever I've written him with a question, he's emailed me back almost before I push the send button! Speedy!

And thanks so much for your first post, just really nice. I worked at my neighborhood public library branch for 8 years (2 years at the main branch before that). I really love the world of libraries and and all that they stand for. What kind of librarian are you, what type of library?

I don't usually read the new people section.

I'm glad I made an exception this morning...

Holly, I work in a small rural elementary school as a librarian and technology specialist, love it! Here is a blog I just did for the kids, who started their own blog last week!

Thanks for the thought! Although my website appears I am a commercial painter and I do, do commercial work. I am focusing more on residential now. I am currently revamping my website to reflect that.

I would appreciate passing my name on, I can guarantee you would not be let down! I do need to let you know that, I do have a minimum for doing work in San Deigo, as it is 70 miles south of me. She can contact me for further information if she is interested.
Thanks again!
Gabe
