Default Wisconsin Contractor

Hello all. I'm new to the site. I work for my father's business, Midwest Painters out of Galesville, WI. about 20 miles north of La Crosse. I've worked for him since I was about 12 years old (mostly during summers of course). He's been in the business for over 25 years. He deals largely with residential and commercial along with some industrial work. Lately, steel roofs seem to be our specialty. Just a little bit about us. If you want to know more just ask.

Default New to the site

Hey, Hunt,
I am new here, too. But I am in the Milwaukee area.
I started working for my dad when I was 12 yrs old, but it was in a business that installed underground lawn sprinkler systems. Needless to say, this was mostly summer work, so in the winters I did whatever odd jobs I could.
Now I am 53, too old to continue playing in the mud, and since my brother bought the business, I now see that it is time to get serious about working for myself.
So, I bought some ladders and a paintbrush. (((o:
You said you have been specializing in steel roofs, what do you do, install them or paint them?

we paint them. the majority of them are painted silver but once in a while people want go with white or various other colors. Most people in our area know that we have the equipment of roofs so we seem to get a lot of business for roofs. we just upgraded our boom truck. we had a 43' truck and now we've got a 75' truck. so painting barn roofs has gotten a whole lot easier. what kind of work do you like to do timplex?

dad--we have one good month: september....the rest are either too cold, too humid, or too rainy.
