but as far as this thread goes, i'm both, painter and owner. Trying to move more towards owner as I go. Hoping to hire more guys with skills that are better than mine.

I'm steady for work but also down to myself and one full time guy vs. 3 full time guys up till October of last year. I'm certainly looking forward to things picking up again as the weather warms.

To many people, to many to sift through. Last year was a nightmare to find good people. Last year we had 4/5 times the amount of people apply and respond to our ads

I mainly meant to imply that I'm trying to be very selective in the hires I choose. I've had too many workers in the past that felt like they really only slowed things down.

It is really hard to find good workers, in the past when i was hiring i would see many applicants and hire and fire.

Woody, I turned off email notification for you. As you get familiar with the forum features you will be able to set things the way you want.
If you look below the box where you post replies, you will see a Thread Subscription tab you can set.
There is "FAQ" section, look up on the blue bar, info there also.

If you go to "User CP" in the upper left, you can see you have lots of options.
Don't worry too much about it, you are fine.

There are plenty here to help you, it is a pretty eclectic bunch of new painters, old painters, business owners, even a few wallpaper hangers.
Some of us don't paint, me, I leave it to my husband and the crew while I play on the 'puter all day!
