Default Yes, another new guy.

Hey everyone. I've been reading on here for a while and decided to go ahead and start posting. A little about me. I just had my 17 year anniversary to my wonderful wife. I have a 10 year old son. I am a full time firefighter and I have owned a pressure cleaning business for the past 9 years. I pretty much do strictly residential. Over the years I have stained several decks and have also done a little painting here and there.
Recently I got asked to paint the front of one house and another whole house. I got some assistance from my neighbor who has been a painter for several years. He is always looking for extra work so he was a big help. Both jobs went pretty well.
Sorry for the long post but here is my question. I am thinking of redoing my business to a painting biz, I will still offer the pwing though. Any advise or opinions on that thought? Thanks in advance for any replies and thanks for all the valuable info on this site.

Jeff

Thanks for the welcomes guys. I am still on the fence with painting. I think I can make it just not sure if it would be the best road to go down. I am trying to think about the future when I retire from the FD. Oh well I'll keep reading and thinking and pwing.

Just curious, are you a legit company? Pay taxes, got insurance and licenses and stuff? I'm only asking because I bid against some firefighters here in StL who are so cheap, there is no way they are legit and it sucks trying to compete against fake businesses.

And welcome to the forum.

Welcome aboard. I lived in Georgia myself back in the late 80s and early 90s.
