Thumbs up Young Master Painter

Greeting to all at Paint Talk.

I stumbled upon this forum by searching the term journeyman painter on Google. Low and behold I found the answer(s) I was looking for in one click. And I laughed...so I joined.

I'm a painter by trade with 26 years of experience. I have no friends and I am not very talkative...unless I have been quiet for too long and someone hands me a beer. I have worked my ass off and have nothing to show for it but a nice website which I build in my spare time. My spare time has increased with the economies decline.

So I was creating a forum for DIY's to ask painting questions and extending a hand of friendship to pro painters also, to help DYI's have qualified answers. I do not consider myself an expert and the first thing I was taught about painting is that nobody knows it all.

The next subject(s) I was about to post on my forum were about painters whites and fan decks...by the way I have only posted one subject there so far...and when I checked recent posts here at Paint Talk, lo and behold ! ...

So, I want you all to know that I have been in Northern Virginia for 26 years and recently relocated to Lynchburg three hours away where it is less expensive to live. I have two big problems when it comes to being a painter. I was trained in my early years to work with no help and I am a chic. I am totally pro but wear black spandex instead of painter whites and men's boots...though I humbly did my time doing so...and paint suppliers give me their fan decks for free.

This being said, I am never happier than I am when working and I have been around painters and other trades for the better part of my life. Glad to find this forum.

I need some help though introducing myself to this new area so I can get a job. No one knows me here and the only way I can advertise is by doing my own SEO work on the internet. Hard core pro paint talk can't be on my new forum but if any of you have a few spare moments to start a topic and share a blurb of unsolicited advice I would be most grateful.

To avoid having any of my posts here showing up in the search engines, which I myself work so hard to publicize, you may only know me as Young Master Painter. Feel free to Private message and I will gladly send you links to my website and forum where you can view my extensive work and experience.

Once again I am happy to be here and already enjoy reading the posts of kindred spirits.

I'm not a can in a ham...or a ham in a can.
Ralph Lauren should have spent more time creating designer painters clothing and his paint line wouldn't be defunct.

You gotta have a better line of BS than the painters around you.
