Default Hitting the SHE Spot

In this thread it was stated that with a private room, marketing to women could be discussed.

I stumbled upon this article and found it intriguing.

I have quoted a portion of it below:
Question: In particular, how should companies connect to women online?

Answer: There is little gender gap in the use of the technology. More women are blogging, using social media, emailing, and even doing online gaming. However, they do have a bit different online habits than men.
For example, if you’re an ecommerce company, make the shopping and check out experience fast, safe and easy. They don’t have time to for complicated check-outs. Here are some additional things women are looking for online:
 • Clear, concise text
 • Creative with colors and images
 • Easy to contact a real person
 • Not too much information all at once
 • White space
 • Simple navigation—no more than three clicks
 • Storytelling
 • Loyalty programs
 • Robust and personal “About Us” page
 • Third-party testimonials
 • Real people that look like them
 • A way to connect
 • A way to tell a friend
Amazon.com and Ebay.com are great examples of companies that “get it.”

My apologies for putting this on a public forum.
Perhaps you can take it to your private room and discuss it as it relates to the painting profession.

Yes. good post.

But I wouldn't limit to women. Most of those things on the list appeal to me too.

(yah yah, I know the next comments coming. )

But I think that is a good list for a wide variety of people who want what they want with a minimum of BS.

Good article! It does apply to all. Marketing and Presentation go together.

I have posted before about the fact that I am a women helps greatly in our estimates. I always thought it was more because Rob is the big, strong silent type and he can be intimidating. As we did more estimates together I saw how much he changed his attitude toward the women. He listened!
He might be able to do one on his own soon!

Another part of the article stating what women need
Evidence that the company cares about them.
Opportunities to connect to other people.
A long-term cultivation orientation.
Communication of support of the notion that women have and want control of their lives

You guys think you need to focus on the man, he may be the head of the house, but women are the neck that turns the head!

Listen. Listen. Listen.

I am NOT going to say what my evil perverted little sophomoric brain is thinking !!!

HOWEVER, during estimates my WORSE nightmare is when both Suzie and Harry are present and I have to sell them both.

One is from Mars and the other from Venus and my teleporter broke, and I'm caught in the Tholian web!

LOL! Going to be rough if you have to delete your own posts!

I think that is why it works so well for us!

I have some small "thoughts" on marketing to women. I have designed a piece or two that are geared toward women. Just trying to find the right way to get it out there to them.
