Do you send them only to customers from this year? Do you send to people you did estimates for but did not do the work?

Mine are on order. Should be here this week. I sign all mine to, some with a personal note added. My clients that have a more volume of work, bank and my accountant all get a pound of See's Candy. Great for their office.

We design our own in-house card that we then get printed and sent to all of our past customers from the last two years, all our interior decorators and all of the realtors that we deal with as well as all property managers, engineers and schools that we've dealt with over the last year.

Our Xmas card usually has a humorous theme of one kind or another. Last year we photo-shopped our heads onto some of the Dancing With the Stars' bodies the year before we did the tic tac toe design of the Brady Bunch with 9 of our staff filling in their headshots. We get a lot of comments about our cards, I guess they are memorable. This year we are toying with the idea of a Jersey Shore themed card, should be a good laugh.

This year instead of sending out gift baskets for Xmas, we've done them for Thanksgiving. Most large company's receive dozens of Xmas gift packages that ours tends to get lost amongst the pack so we decided this year to be the send for this holiday.

Emails arent personal & traditional enough for me when it comes to Christmas. I believe that it shows a little more thought & care went in to an actual hand signed card.
Of course a couple of business cards go in each along with a personal note.

The question is, did anyone send pre-holiday letters or postcards telling people the holidays were coming and to call for special holiday pricing or to hear about your two-room & a hallway promotion?
