Compared to last year, we are overwhelmed. We have submitted twice as more bids for this year then last year at this time. Sunday, due to the weather we are just going to be writing up bids all day lol.

I won't share to much about where I am at. In fact I have had few members here ask me how many employees I have. I told them anything but the truth, sorry guys. Truth is I don't want anyone knowing where I'm at. I once bragged about the jobs I have/had. I'm finding it is best to keep em guessing. So am I'm up, sure. Am I down, ya its bad out there. To you I got 5 employees, to another 20, maybe its just 3, me, myself and I. If you saw me in a paint store, you'd see a fellow painter, hopefully a friend! To another a strong business owner. I'm not seeking that out of the bucket crap, but just a paint contractor that can sling a brush and run a business, or run a business and sling a brush, or just growing a business that needs tending no matter if I'm up or down.

Better than last year's start,
but we had a slow start that ended up good last year.
We should be better by 25% this year.

Definitely a huge improvement.

Just an innocent question. Why secretive with the standing versus last year or at all. I mean, what can anyone do about it anyway? So long as you provide a top notch service and make each new customer a likely repeat customer or aquire a referral from them, what can anyone do about it? I ask this seriously because I am naive to any action that can cause harm to yours or my company so long as those things are in check.

A few contractors I aquire work through are saying the same thing. Work is good right now. I pray it continues.
