Thanks, Y. I appreciate the feedback. Yes - they have to opt-in to receive the newsletter. According to your above post - that won't help my seo. That's OK though it still keeps us fresh in their mind.

The way I thought it would help seo is: someone receives our n/l (via hard copy, snail mail) and then clicks to our site. However, there is a cost associated with sending the n/l snail mail. Wondering if the ROI is worth it. Your thoughts / experience? Thanks.

Fresh, I am going to be mailing mine. I think it will be worth it, but you have to be in it for the long haul. Exsisting customers may not need your services again for several years. But they do have friends and associates who may and they can refer you or even hand out the newsletter.

Plus I think it is easier to just delete an email vs. having the newsletter in your hand. (although I am thinking of using both email and snailmail to increase chances)

I mailed first set about a month ago I heard from a couple people that they received it but one call came from a woman who was the daughter of the couple I sent it to. Unfortunately both her parents had passed away since I last painted for them but they had saved the letter and that is why this woman called me and her words to me when I arrived to do the estimate were that she simply did not know who to call and was glad her parents had saved the newsletter. So you never know.

Mailed 20 of them mid Sept. I have more confidence in it now and will increase that amount next time.
How many are you doing?
Good luck with it

Am printing 100, going to mail just over 90. (am trying to get to 100) All of them to customers and people we did estimates for.
