Default Pre Stain Conditoner Business

I've figured out a great formula for pre stain conditoner. It worked great on over 1000 sq feet of pine floors I laid down in my home. It worked so great that I'm considering starting a business selling it. Does anyone here know the legality on starting a business such as this? Any advice is welcome. Thanks!

Yeah, first check to see if someone else has the same formula that already is out there.

Chances are they got a patent or whatever on it.

Get in touch with a patent lawyer?

Another aspect of that would be the environmental and industrial safety regulations. I'm assuming that you'd contract out the manufacture of the material because I can't imagine it would be cost effective to pay for those facilities.

If you do contact a patent attorney, find one who specializes in industrial chemistry, chemical engineering, or something like that. I didn't realize that they specialize until I found out that the one we work with is a physicist and focuses on that area.
