I try to tailor our features and benefits to a targeted group. But I don't turn away the random. Today's random could be tomorrows ideal customer or a friend of.

I agree with the comment on the Penny Saver ads. I am still very new as far as getting jobs, estimates, etc. Btw, mat's and products too.

I would someday like to have some advertisements in clubhouses, highend salons, and maybe, just maybe in some rural papers. I really need to research local clubs and organizations when I feel I am ready.

Sometimes, I feel I could do better with a little marketing and lining up jobs for others.

gated communities/associations usually have a directory that they give to all of the homeowners.

they update these yearly,,,,,,it has phone numbers and contact info for the residents

sometimes theyll have trusted contractors listed in the directory too.

so strive to get in those directories.

We had ads in several directories all of this year. We would get calls from H Os in those areas from our website. I would ask them if they had seen our ad in there community newsletter. Most said no we dont even look at those things. Lesson learned/pull ads save thousands!!

That is why it may be more effective to have some kind of presence in the places these people may frequent.
I guess it goes back to branding and letting a targeted market know you exist.

Targeting a community by their newsletter is pretty targeted. These are very nice like a small magazine (quarterly) then they do a monthly (flyer) also. I just think it's time to move away from the old school marketing for us
