Reason I ask, I am going through my closet and have pulled nearly 50 shirts out that are now going to be turned into rags. They are all white. I was wondering if there might be a better color for shirts. In the next month I plan on ordering a ton of company shirts, and just wonder what you guys have as far as color, maybe a color out there that will be harder to get dirty.. white just wastes away after a sweaty day and around dust or chalk.. it is gone.
It is all part of the bigger picture. I am chalking it up to marketing and branding. Plus I am tired of advertising for sherwin. I am not their painter.
I sell best in vegas gold. Something about the color...fills me up with happiness inside. Closing rates much higher than in white or gray because I exude happiness, and that my friends is contagious. The smily guy is wearing a similar color, works for him too.
My personal style is Goth. I always keep a couple of vegas golds folded in a plastic bag under my seat when I am offduty, just in case a call comes in and I need to do a impromptu estimate. Selling in Goth is NOT recommended.
/\ as I was cutting rags tonight, It dawned on me that I am going to get some tan shirts made, 3/4 of interior repaints I have done have been in some tan type of color.. would probably be the best bet keeping a nice look.
Really I wanted to see what everyone had found looked the best the longest. White is white is white is white. when I am doing 99.9999999999999% browns and tans and combinations of the two.. white is a mistake for shirt color choice. Hmm.. well thanks for the help anyway guys.
n8 - no matter what color you use they'll get dirty if your a slob.... try and be mindful of your work settings and not use your shirt for a rag.. I get new shirts yearly and the ones I turn into rags you would think were brand new...
Thanks guys, Mak yeah I am more concerned about the end product sometimes than where the calking goes. I am maturing in more ways than 1 on this, but it is still helpful to know what colors have been used and the feedback from them. It is like going out and deciding on what color you want you new car... well? What color would that be? Why?
I also look for long sleeve, lightwieght, button up shirts all year long on the clearance racks. They have to be a 3XL. Rob uses them for spraying, so they are soon thick with paint and tossed.
But some of the patterns and colors I have found!:whistling2:
