I have seen some of his other videos and yes he is smart enough to sucker people who think it is easy to paint and make a lot of money, but he is an idiot.

Easy to say don't worry about pricing when you don't have much of anything invested in actually doing the jobs but your time and lead cost.

While watching this video, I had more questions that started with, "But what about...?", or, "What if...?", than I could keep track of.

I worked for a HO a couple of years ago who said a painter did this to her and she was still very PO about it. I have never, and never will, ask a HO for extra money for my mistake on a bid. Just bad for business.

It is indeed very unprofessional.
No one wants to lose on a job, but it happens. Customers usually know when it's happening because it goes past the scheduled time frame. When it does just put a smile on and get it done, no cutting corners either. This has earned me a couple good repeat customers and referrals.

Professionalism is becoming a rarer quality (probably been happening longer then I know) but it's still valued, IME. It's hard to judge from a limited perspective but it seems to be a very low point now. But the pendulum is always swinging. I'll just be doing my small part to help it back, I hope.

So let me get this straight...

His professional advice is to "completely wing it"?

What a jack-wagon!

Who here has painted a 3 story victorian for 7000.00?
